As many of you know I have been very excited about the latest Hawaii opening Pier 1 in Kailua-Kona. I love this store and I think it is filling an enormous void here in Kailua-Kona and the entire Big Island of Hawaii. The store will be opening its doors to the public in June and guess what? I will be part of it! I have accepted an offer for part-time employment at the new store and will be spending a few hours every week there.

I still have the real estate gig and have no intentions of giving it up. I have worked hard and have done an effective job of marketing myself so that it is showing signs of growth and future business. I will totally keep working on this as it is something that interests me and I enjoy.

But… I have been a fan of Pier 1 since I was a little kid and the stores always make me happy to go into. Back in the fall is when I first had the thought that I might really enjoy working there part-time. I’d probably be spending about the same amount of time in there as a shopper so this way I at least get a paycheck! LOL.

I decided that I have free time at the moment and that I could use some spending cash. Also now that we are in our new home I can really take advantage of my employee discount! I also think this gig could help me make some contacts and potentially gain some additional future clients. Never know!

Anyway I know this store will be very busy and I hope to see all of you there!
