For Mothers Day we took Lynn’s mom to Annie’s Fresh Island Burgers because she really enjoys that place and digs the onion rings… Oh uh… and we love it to. For Fathers Day Lynn’s dad wanted us to join them for a trip down south to Green Sands Beach, something he has wanted to do for a while. So this morning we all piled into his bad ass Mercedes SUV and headed south.

The road to Green Sands Beach is a little gnarly… in places I think it might scare some people death. But the vehicle has full 4WD with low-end gears and is very capable and Lynn’s dad has been an “off road enthusiast” for years so there was no fear as we bounced down the “road” to the beach… A few times with wheels off the ground… I kid you not. LOL.

I don’t see us making regular trips to Ka’u and finding the right path to guide a 4WD vehicle down that road but it was really cool to see the place and we’re all glad we made the trip and spent the day together. Anyway here are some pics from Green Sands Beach. Enjoy!
